Description:

OpenStack is an IaaS ( Infrastructure as a Service) cloud computing project originally developed by Rackspace and NASA, its APIs being compatible with Amazon EC2 and Amazon S3. Development is to be continued under the umbrella of the newly founded OpenStack Foundation. Currently, a large number of companies, among them AMD, IBM, Intel, Red Hat, SuSE, Canonical and Cisco, are already participating in the project.
